Wonderful Urgent Dental Care! While visiting family in Kingston, I lost a big part of a filling—never the kind of surprise you hope for on a trip. Thankfully, my sister quickly booked me an urgent care appointment at Cataraqui Woods Dentistry the very next day. From the start, the process felt easy. They sent me the intake forms online, which were clear and simple to complete, so everything was ready when I arrived. The team at the clinic was warm, empathetic, and genuinely reassuring—something I especially appreciated given my nerves about dental work. They took extra care to make sure the local anesthetic was virtually painless, and within an hour, I had a temporary filling in place. To make things even smoother, they emailed me the photos and X-rays for my regular dentist in Ottawa and handled my insurance billing directly, no headaches required. As a final touch, the themed décor in the treatment rooms created a welcoming, friendly atmosphere—an unexpected but delightful detail in the middle of an urgent dental visit.

Mahalia is the best hygienist ever! I have been going to dentists all my life but this is the first time I felt that my teeth were really taken care Mahalia is knowledgeable and she knows what she is doing. She also told me how to take care of my teeth. I was planing to change my dentists cause of distance but it’s worth a drive for 3 hours to see her! Thank you and wish her all the best!

Moved here to Kingston in 2021. The move here was very positive. Kingston is fantastic. I had a tooth issue in 2022, unfortunately I called upon Cataraqui Woods Dentistry on Midland for an appointment. MAJOR MISTAKE, that would cost me the loss of a upper prime front tooth and thousand of dollars of expenses. Dr. Khan, the owner, was terrible in every way possible, unprofessional, rude, with little to no regards for the well being of his patients. The Staff was equally arrogant (including the office manager) some of the dentists as well. The whole business was shoddy. I spent $15,000 over two years, much of the money was to correct their mistakes. Fed up I finally approached Dr. Khan about the serious issues. Instead of trying to help, he took an aggressive approach and blamed me for the issues. Ridiculous! He then said he had no time for discussion with me, he was busy pulling teeth and installing implants. The office manager was useless and could do nothing without approval from Khan. . As a final resort I wrote Dr. Khan a letter outlining everything and hoping he would correct the wrongs. No way! he just rebuffed it all. Basically saying to go elsewhere. I could not believe that anyone could run a businesses with such disdain and callous disregard for its clients. Reflecting now when I first visited the office I saw the huge window banner that read "WELCOMING NEW PATIENTS" Now i know why they have the sign. Their client turn over must be so high that they must continually find replacement clients to feed their business! Please for your own sake Beware of this dental office. Fortunately I moved on to a new Dental office where they are competent, friendly and appreciative. The Dentist are skilled and have the patients best interest at heart. They managed to save teeth that DR. Khan's office wanted to replace with implants$$$ The office I am now treated at is Cataraqui Dental Center, Cataraqui Drive. Bob Besner
