It was an okay place to be at as there has been a significant change in the place, less drug addicts more young adults & teens who don't abuse hard drugs, & there is no gang affiliation among these youngsters more or less these youth protect each other and the staff when it comes to incidents, and you are also treated with respect the place has some good things to it when you meet the staff they want to help but you are supposed to follow the rules. Overall these are some young adults and teens who are trying to get back on their feet again, it was a good experience i met some nice staff & people.

Succma Caulk

good place to sleep if you're under 21 and don't have a home. They have a chef who serves 3 meals a day for anyone with a bed. The only problem is that there isn't very many beds & it gets used as a hangout spot for kids to get drunk/high with their friends. Otherwise amazing staff, very supportive. saved my life for a few winters for sure.

i had a brother who stayed here, who is FASD and he was brutally assaulted by kids who claim to be apart of gangs and use substances in and out of the shelter. im beyond disturbed and disgusted. staff should be better regulated. not to mention they continue to hold youth who take part in macing, jumping and other criminal activities. do better

I stayed at yes once when I lost my placement at a Grouphome. The staff were very kind and I was extremely scared and on the verge into going into stress related psychosis. And they did a very good job and ensuring me I was safe and that nothing bad would happen to me if I sticked to myself and locked up my belongings. The kids, well I mean their homeless street kids what are you gonna do. But the staff were very good at their job and kept things very professional. And where some of the kindest staff I’ve ever meet. :) if you ever find yourself in yes. Lock up your stuff. My friend got us iPad stolen and all the kids beat each other up due to “beef” keep talking to a minimal. Look at it as a place to sleep. Plus they have lots of programs and extra things they provide to those who want to get the help and better themselves!
