We celebrated a birthday with a party of eight in the private dining room, and frankly, the experience was underwhelming and a significant decline from my last visit a few years ago. I am genuinely baffled that the restaurant maintains its three Michelin stars. This might be my least favorite 3 stars in the city. Service: The service was extremely slow at the outset. It took an unacceptable amount of time to get our initial drink order in. We eventually had to flag down a staff member to let our server know we were ready to order because no one checked on us for a long time. Furthermore, there were multiple instances where water was splashed during refills and plates were cleared with a jarring amount of noise. It felt unacceptable for a restaurant at this caliber. The private dining room also doesn’t have a tablecloth set up. I can’t believe how they’re okay with that?? Food: The food quality was just "meh" with noticeable issues in seasoning—dishes were either too salty or unbalanced. For the $425 menu price, the choice was limited, and there was a heavy emphasis on expensive, uninspired upgrades. It felt like a conscious effort to nickel-and-dime the customer. There was no single dish memorable enough to warrant a return visit. Overall, the quality has sadly slid, and this was not the three-star experience we expected.

An absolutely magical evening at Per Se, thanks to our incredible attendant Jamie! My friend and I had a truly exceptional dining experience at Per Se. The service was above and beyond; our main attendant, Jamie, was so charming and thoughtful throughout the entire evening. It felt like we had a personal tour guide through our meal, which made the experience even more special, especially for my friend who was visiting for the first time. We both have a lot of dietary restrictions, and dining out can often be a challenge. However, the chefs and staff at Per Se navigated all of our needs with such incredible ease and grace. It was so appreciated to feel completely cared for and to be able to enjoy every single course without a worry. The biggest surprise came at the end of the night when they presented my friend Shannon with an engraved bottle of champagne and chocolates for her 40th birthday. It was such a beautiful, unexpected, and generous gesture that made an already perfect evening truly unforgettable. Thank you again, Jamie and the entire team at Per Se, for a spectacular experience. We can't wait to come back!

Planned a boys trip specifically to have dinner at Per SE. I was not prepared for the service nor the quality of food I was going to experience. Our server was great she was friendly and very knowledgeable with the plates. Each plate was just amazing as the next. You have an option vegetarian or meat menu. Also there is a dress code is no short sleeve shirts. You don't have to wear a jacket just as long as you have long sleeves. They do offer jackets for the men with short sleeves. Looking forward to my next visit.

Beautiful location with an incredible view over Central Park—definitely one of the most elegant dining rooms in NYC. Service was flawless and the setting felt special from the moment we arrived. That said, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype. It was good, but for a 3 Michelin star restaurant, I expected to be wowed. Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out as exceptional either. Overall, a nice experience, but fell short of what you'd hope for at this level.
