Customer experiences
Carmel Total Fitness is truly a hidden gem. As a locally owned, family-run gym, it offers a welcoming atmosphere, ample space, and all the equipment needed for a great workout. One of the things that sets it apart is the friendly, personable owner who consistently greets members with a smile—whether he’s on the gym floor or at the front desk. Front desk staff making gaining a membership so easy! The trainers on staff are knowledgeable and encouraging, creating an environment that supports both beginners and serious lifters alike. I briefly tried a brand-new gym in the area that promoted its shiny equipment, but I quickly discovered it lacked the space, structure, and focus I was used to at CTF. The environment didn’t feel suited for serious training and was alway overcrowded, and I missed the professionalism and community of Carmel Total Fitness. I returned after just a month away and couldn’t be happier to be back. It’s the kind of place that reminds you what a real gym should feel like—well-equipped, supportive, and built for people who are serious about their fitness.
Earlier today (9/3/2025), I made a simple phone call to Carmel Total Fitness to ask a few questions regarding their gym and what equipment they have there. I have recently moved to the area, so I was looking for a new gym and wanted to weigh my options. The person who answered my phone call was extremely rude and wouldn’t even answer the question, “Do you have a lateral shoulder raise machine and a pec fly/rear delt machine?” (This is a yes or no question keep in mind). I was dumbfounded that the person who should be trying to sell me a membership was being so unhelpful. I have never encountered a worse salesperson in my life and would never even consider going in person to tour their gym, which was heavily suggested I do instead of answering my simple question to save us both time. This employee and phone call is what ultimately made me decide to go with another gym. I would rate this place 0/10 if possible, based solely on their customer experience.
Great gym. All the equipment you need for an amazing workout. Plenty of weights, machines, Dumbbells (up to 120lb) and a sauna, and great staff. Will workout here anytime I’m in town. Highly recommend.
The gym is solid. The cancellation policy is absolutely ridiculous. A sleazy way of getting customers forced into paying monthly for a whole year. I get charged monthly on the 26th and called in two weeks before what I thought my annual year was this month (8/12). After talking to the manager the policy is to call 30 days before. I get that’s what I signed. But to have zero leniency at all is crazy. I have never had this big of an issue in leaving a gym. You don’t get any type of notice from them that your year long contract is up either. I apologize I don’t keep your policies on my refrigerator door to look at every day. I’m sure the owner will respond and say “by the other reviews were well liked”. I liked the gym itself, but this policy is not a fair one. There are other reviews very similar to mine. My reply to you: There is no false information. I called August 13th or 14th. My membership fee comes out on the 26th of the month every month I can happily send you a screenshot sorry I was off a day or two. That is why I thought it renewed then not August 2nd. I didn’t receive more than two notices. One when signing up and one when I called 7 months before. A notice a month before renewing would be nice because I work a job and can sometimes forget with how busy I am. Every bad review you get you’re so argumentative and condescending in the way you reply. It’s insanely childish. Shows what kind of an organization you really run.
Carmel Total Fitness is a gym.
