We worked with mortgage advisor Darla at Cambrian Credit Union and were very disappointed with the experience. There was a clear lack of communication and support throughout the process. There is no way to contact her directly, every time I called (on seven different days), the call went straight to voicemail. When I contacted the head office and asked for her, I was told she is busy. I received an email from her saying our application was almost done, and that she just needed my T4s. In the same message she asked me not to rush because she wouldn’t have time to send it that day or the next. After I provided the T4s, I later got another email saying there was a problem with my FHSA and savings account. This made it clear she hadn’t even reviewed the documentation, even though she had it for a week. Because of all this, we decided to stop working with Cambrian Credit Union and will not be proceeding with our mortgage application here. Unfortunately, this was not the level of professionalism we expected, and we cannot recommend this service. We strongly recommend Cambrian review how their advisors handle clients.

Throughout this time, Corissa has shown compassion, kindness, and at time some laughter which was much needed. Corissa has not only shown great professionalism, she’s also been kind enough to answer my 100’s of questions, email me back in a timely manner and moved around her schedule to accommodate mine when I needed to meet with her. While in the bank, I’ve also observed the great relationship she has with her fellow team members. Their exchange has been light, kind, and respectful. I truly appreciate the kindness and how attentive Corissa has been during a difficult time.

The entire transaction for a new mortgage was done in less than two weeks! Cambrian got our business thanks to how fast they moved while we waited for other banks to respond.

Great until you need to take your money out or need to buy something over a grand. Need to jump hoops to increase your limit which I do not understand. I could honestly say I felt racially profiled here, I called the call center and the man I spoke to was way nicer and understanding. Will stick to using other banks.
