Overall this is an easy-to-access, simple to use and affordable private alternative to counselling and therapy service for locals. Most patrons find it to be a hit or miss in terms of being assigned a proper counsellor, and the vast majority of approved therapists are still in-training counseling student interns doing their practicum who are still inexperienced thus explaining the mismatch for clients. In terms of respecting privacy and data, they adhere to your confidentiality. One patron mentioned that although their first experience was terrible during Covid times, this being the second time around in signing up for CCC found it to be a much better and improved experience. For them, it was a worthwhile commitment adding that it may be a matter of finding a suitable match for a therapist and genuinely participating and doing the weekly self assignments/exercises. I would recommend this for those new to counselling, but for those of you who are looking for something more in-depth I would look elsewhere. Had an investigation through CAP due to incompetence. Residents were not supervised, and CAP agreed that supervisors can blindly follow what residents claim happened in therapy -- even after being proven incompetent. It took them 3 weeks to provide an invoice for a refund. I had to request my full clinical file, which I am legally entitled to, 5 times before being honoured. Therapists do not review mental health assessments prior to therapy starting, as is allowed by CAP, and escalates incompetence and harm to clients seeking help. One of the co-directors avoided discussing my complaints prior to a CAP investigation. The incompetence is this establishment has shocked my GP and myself.

I had a very good experience at CCC. They were kind in handling my unique mental health issues and helped put me in touch with the right Psychologist the first time around. The questionnaire before every session is a necessary step for them to understand their client, and is not very tedious at all when you know it will help provide you and the therapist with a more accurate and well focussed session everytime.

Great resource for people needing counseling. The counselors I have experienced over the years were great. It has definitely helped me in the past and I plan on using their services again to help me. The only negative comment I have is sliding scale initial fee estimate can be quite high..but they will adjust if you request. I had to rebook my initial appointment a few times all with adequate notice due to sudden work schedule changes etc, I was given a ride attitude from my counselor who asked if I was committed to change and ready for counseling. That was off putting and unnecessary..which made me want to switch counselors since then things have been better. It all depends who you get for a counselor if they suck or are not helpful just request to be reassigned.
