Worst dentist experience ever! Dr. Sorial is completely incompetent — he can’t even do a basic filling properly. Both of my parents had to go to another dentist to undo the damage he caused. It’s shocking that someone this careless is still practicing. On top of that, the Arabic receptionist is unbelievably rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Zero courtesy, zero skill. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — save yourself the pain, time, and money.

Office staff: 8/10, kind and accommodating. Dental hygienists: 7.5 - 8/10, kind and gentle, but I have had more thorough cleanings in the past. Regardless, you are in pretty good hands. Dentist: 5/10 I was excited to find this clinic in Burlington. The first two initial visits, to the best of my knowledge, went without any issues, however I was caught very off-guard by the cost of the initial intake exam. To date, the intake (first) exam at this clinic was significantly higher than any of my previous exams. The transparent pricing provided by my new dentist provides further evidence of the higher than average rates charged at this clinic. (Note: The high cost of the exam occurred before the current COVID/post-COVID inflation at the time of this writing). Most importantly, the quality of the service provided by the staff dentist leaves a lot to be desired, in my opinion and direct experience. During a tooth repair, the dentist damaged the retainer wire attached to the back of my bottom front teeth. This resulted in a sharp edge that poked my tongue. To the office staffs credit, they were able to schedule a follow-up appointment for me asap. During the follow-up appointment the dentist, to my disappointment, did not apologize or indicate any degree of accountability. In my opinion, his general attitude was dismissive and my concerns & discomfort felt minimized and unimportant. The subsequent repair to the broken wire resulted in jaw pain related to what felt like pulling and pressure on the left side of my face. An additional appointment was then needed and at this point I opted to have the wire removed because I was not confident they could adequately fix the issue. This inevitability lead to some orthodontic appointments and the purchasing of a new retainer. Overall this entire process and sequence of events was very time consuming and frustrating. To the dental clinics/dentists credit, they did put forward an effort to resolve the issues and they did not charge me for the repair and removal of the broken retainer wire. Fast forward to July… My last visit was related to a filling for a “small cavity” that was not previously identified on a previous x-ray. I have had many many dental and orthodontic procedures over the years; This procedure, and how the dentist conducted himself was, in my opinion, very messy and even clumsy. I felt “man-handled” which is another way of saying it was a less than gentle experience. In the end what solidified my error in judgement to again place trust in this dentist, was the noticeably sharp edge of the “completed” filling. The sharp edge was visually noticeable without any special instruments or additional lighting. This, in addition to the later pain the sharp edge of the filling inflicted on my tongue, left me feeling like a complete and utter fool for trusting this dentist again. I still feel this way. I did try to book an appointment asap but I was told the dentist was away until the end of the week. Regardless, my trust and confidence in the dentist had been severely eroded. I decided that it was time to move on and pay whatever I needed to pay to properly fix the issue with my filling. In the end, my new dentist was more than able to properly file-down and further refine the rough edges and application of the filling. In addition, they were very gentle, attentive and kind. I felt treated like a person. Please keep in mind, these are my experiences and my experiences alone. If you chose to use the services of this clinic, you may experience more than adequate care and be very satisfied with the results. Unfortunately, I am not one of these people despite trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and a second chance. Please keep in mind that due to my own unique background, perspectives, and life experiences, that my opinions and responses may differ from your own. Thank you.

Update rating, I’m sorry but what dental office does not answer their phones???? I called the office 29 times on Aug 16 with no answer and their office was open. Not impressed!! Although my daughter has said nothing but great things about this dental office, which says a lot as they do not like dentists (early childhood trauma). I am not impressed thus far with the office staff. Maybe I am being harsh but as I work in customer service, I expect the same service that I provide. Acknowledgment is not that difficult to provide.

Britannia Dental Centre is a dental clinic.
