Both Lauren and Lydia have worked in the hospitality industry for awhile, and their experience definitely showed. They already had established relationships with our vendors which helped immensely. We worked with Lydia specifically. Lydia’s communication was exceptional — she was always gave her honest opinion on design choices, logistics and more and kept everything running seamlessly on the wedding day. Their attention to detail, creative design, and flawless execution of the timeline and venue coordination truly brought our vision to life. Everything went so smoothly that even my bridesmaids — many of whom are already married and have been in countless weddings — couldn’t stop talking about how incredible the planning team was! Not once did the wedding day feel rushed, or ever stressful. Lydia’s calm presence, organization, and genuine care made the entire experience stress-free and allowed us to truly enjoy every moment. Lydia made my Pinterest Wedding dreams, come to life. I am a firm believer that ever bride needs a wedding coordinator at the very least! I would give them 5,000 stars if I could.

Working with Lauren from Bourbon City Events was one of the greatest joys of our entire wedding planning experience. Not only is she so sweet and so fun, but we quickly discovered we had a personal connection—she was in the same sorority and the same pledge class as my Matron of Honor at the University of Kentucky! What are the odds? We spent so many planning calls laughing, reminiscing, and bonding over our shared college roots, which made the entire experience feel personal and full of heart. Lauren seamlessly stepped in to take over after our original planner had to step away—and I truly mean seamlessly. At 10 months out, she filled in every vendor gap, ensured nothing slipped through the cracks, and elevated every detail with her next-level organizational skills. She’s as Type A as they come in the best way possible—her timelines were air-tight, her follow-through was impeccable, and her attention to detail was unparalleled. On the day of the wedding, Lauren was truly my guardian angel. She made sure I was calm, happy, stress-free, and always had a drink in my hand and food in my belly. She wrangled groomsmen with grace (even if they grumbled a little) and ensured every single one of my last-minute wishes was executed without me lifting a finger. I didn’t want to be overly involved in the small design choices, so I left a lot up to her discretion—I didn’t even know what my cake would look like, or what flavor it was, or what my signage or flowers would be! I just showed up… and it was like walking into the most magical, personalized surprise party. The end result? A wedding that exceeded every expectation. Our venue—which has hosted over 30 weddings a year for the past decade—said it was one of their Top 10 weddings of all time. Our photographer called it one of his Top 3, and our videographer said it was the best wedding he’s ever shot. And we truly believe that’s thanks to Lauren and Bourbon City Events. They took our vision—classic, timeless, "champagne wedding on a somewhat beer budget"—and made it feel effortless and completely us. Months later, our friends and family still talk about how amazing it was, and my husband and I keep saying, “That really was the best day ever.” If you’re even considering working with Bourbon City Events—do it.
