Very happy with the service I’ve received from Sutton Mobile Mechanics . Called about flat battery. Ben arrived same day and on time with a brand new battery. No problem starting the car now. Would definitely recommend his services. Bardzo dziękuje :)

Ben came out to replace the battery on my Range Rover Evoque. Very happy with his work. Good communication. I would definitely recommend him. 😊

Ben came out to help diagnose and replace a broken front offside coil spring on my 2-series BMW. He arrived as arranged and carried out the job thoroughly, even staying on longer than expected to make sure everything was done properly. His attention to detail was clear, and the work was completed to the best of his ability. His son, Zinadine, who is also trained in the trade, was on hand and proved to be very helpful throughout the process. The overall service reflected a solid work ethic and a clear commitment to getting the job done right.

Ben is polite, reassuring, and I’m sure very capable with certain types of mechanical work. However, he should be realistic about the kinds of jobs he takes on. Although he advertises suspension-related repairs, his setup including jacking and torquing equipment is limited and is not well-suited to that type of work but critical to ensuring the end result but also safety during such work. I engaged Ben to remove and replace a CV axle as my vehicle was incapacitated on my driveway, following accidental damage caused by another mobile mechanic during a routine CV boot change. The work was completed, but within a mile of driving a clanging noise developed, indicating movement in the axle. I took the car to another garage for inspection, and they identified three issues: 1. The wheel-end bolt had not been properly torqued. 2. Several fasteners were either unevenly torqued or loose. 3. The axle itself was not correctly seated, causing play and noise. Weather conditions may have contributed, but the result was unsafe. Had I not noticed the problem quickly, it could have led to a serious situation. I subsequently had the axle removed and refitted by another garage, costing Ā£300 on top of the Ā£240 I originally paid Ben. I requested a partial refund to reflect this, but received no response. I chose Ben based on his excellent reviews and his advertised ability to carry out suspension work. However, I think he should reassess the scope of jobs he accepts — heavy suspension work appears to be beyond his current setup and capability. I leave this review reluctantly, but I believe it’s important to share an honest account of my experience. Edit 18/11/2025: In response to Ben My original review was extremely fair and polite. But your response made it necessary to clarify the facts clearly: 1. You never said you ā€œdon’t like correcting other people’s workā€, and even if you had, it is irrelevant. You confidently stated you were capable of doing the job and had done Q5 axles before. You chose to take the job. 2. The CV joint was damaged by the first mechanic during a CV boot change. You recommended installing a new axle and you were the only person who attempted the repair afterwards. There were not multiple players involved. 3. I reviewed the first mechanic on ClickMechanic and I am pursuing reimbursement from them for parts and labour. Should they ignore, rest assured I will leave a google review for them, as I did with you only after I received no response to my last message. Besides that has nothing to do with my gripes on the work you carried out, which despite what I feel is a sharped response from you, I am not editing to a 1 star. Remaining fair. 4. It was raining but not heavily, and I asked if you preferred to postpone. 5. My comments about your equipment I feel are accurate. I do not feel you have the set up for these kind of jobs and yes I was watching primarily because I was concerned with how much your jack slips when hoisting up and I was, to be honest, concerned for your safety also. 6. The repair failed within one mile at low speed on local roads. A well reviewed garage were scathing citing incorrect seating and incorrect torquing at both ends of the axle. They told me it was fortunate it failed early rather than at motorway speeds, which could have been dangerous. 7. You are right, you did offer to check it over before I took it there and I give you credit for that but given how quickly issues developed (c 1.mile getting progressively worse) I do not believe it was catching on a brake dust shield, indications were play in the axle which seems to have been vindicated. With safety being paramount, I felt the need for independent inspection. 8. To this end I asked for a PARTIAL refund, not a full one. This was to be fair to your efforts but also in recognition that the job was not completed properly. You did not refuse it, you simply ignored my message where I outlined the findings. I would have expected a bit of a discussion than a ghosting.
