Big Nick’s Lawn care started helping me with my dead lawn about a month ago. Since having a newborn it’s been really hard to keep up with the maintenance and I’ve been overwhelmed. I cannot express how happy I am with the service we received. Already my yard is green again and not such an eye sore for the neighborhood. His company is professional, skilled and knowledgeable. Not to mention the great communication! In the past I have hired people in the neighborhood and have been overcharged for less skilled work. I am so pleased I found Big Nicks Lawn. His price is more than fair and I cannot thank his company enough for the help!

My wife and I have hired a good number of landscapers to do some things around our house, Big Nick’s was easily the worst. We hired Big Nick’s 6 months back to do some work in our backyard. We wanted some weeds removed, one planter repaired, three planters to be filled with rocks and plants, and three flower beds around our pool filled with weed barrier and rocks. The final product was not at all worth the price. The “fixed” planter cracked again after 3 months and now has to be re-repaired. The weed barrier was not flush against the edges just about anywhere they put it so weeds still grow around the edges. 2 of the 7 agave plants we had them put in the planters were planted at an angle and have since died. These were 5 year old Blue Glow Agave plants we got from Moon Valley Nursery for $400 each. On top of that, the customer service was terrible throughout the process. Big Nick’s agreed to provide the rocks when we started then tried to charge me an extra $1,600 halfway through the job because they ordered the wrong amount. They took the weed barrier we had provided for the job with them after the first day then tried to charge us when they didn’t have it in the days after that. That charge wasn’t itemized in their bill, I only learned about it after I asked about extra charges when their math didn’t add up on the bill. When they finally did return it, someone just let themselves into our backyard unannounced in the middle of the day and left the weed barrier there. Super violating. Big Nick’s also didn’t communicate about when they would be here to work, which left us in the dark about when to take our dog to doggy daycare so they could work. As a result we ended up paying for several days of doggy daycare we didn’t need and had to scramble to get the dog in one other day. Bottom line—save your time, money, and aggravation and find a different company.
