Been stopping at this place for the last 7 yrs every time I come to N.Y. from Detroit. It never disappoints. We always buy a couple of slices to eat and a couple of pies to take home for the family. Today we had the honor of meeting the owner, Greg. As we enjoyed a slice of their famous Nonna Maria’s pie, we chatted and he told us all about the history of the pizzeria, his family, his brother, Doug, and their grandma Nonna Maria. It was a pleasure and just made this spot even more special to us now. Great NY pizza, great atmosphere, and great service! Will be back the next time we are in NY and highly recommend this pizzeria to others! Thanks again Greg!
NYC pizza redemption 🍕🤤 This pizza was LIT, great cheese to tomato paste ratio and cooked to perfect. I’m not a crust kinda gal so left the crust for my friend to eat. Great value for money and kept you full for a long time. If you’re a Swiftie, highly recommend stopping in here after a visit to Cornelia Street.
This place lives up to all the hype, and exceeded expectations in a few areas. The pizza is impeccable. Thin without being too crispy, the dough is soft inside with a wonderful crunch. Sauce and cheese is well balanced with it leaning more to the saucy side... which is fine because the sauce compliments it perfectly with it hint of sweetness. It IS on the salty side but I prefer that. The service is where I was most pleasantly surprised. A place as iconic as this doesn't need to try very hard, so I was expecting rushed and impersonal. What I got was a warm, inviting staff who seemed thrilled we were there. Even when I daughter spilled her drink all over us, they were so understanding and helpful. Oh and prices were amazing. Do not let yourself miss this place. 100% worth the 15min subway ride from Times Square.. Go here if your in NYC. It's that simple.
