They have tried every way they can to get out of repairing our damaged roof. I have had their insurance for 40 years and never made a claim. The only way to get them to pay is if you hire your own legal. Then they might pay up. Repair people have reported that they are the worst insurance company to pay any claims . That’s why they have a high financial rating and a low customer rating. You are not saving any money or time in going with Bear River Mutual Insurance. Stay clear of Bear River if you expect any insurance protection. You won’t get it.

Been a loyal customer for years, no tickets, no late payments ever. Bear river recently kicked me off my auto insurance over proof of marriage. Never heard of that before especially when I have all the documents and licenses readily available. They canceled my policy 4 days after opening a new one a couple months ago for a new truck. These guys will find any reason to kick you off. I tried to reinstate but it was a hard no. I had one accident with no other people involved and when I go to use my insurance on my totaled truck this is how they will come back to get at you. Absolute joke, don’t bother wasting money/time with these people.

We've been loyal customers to Bear River insurance for 15+ years. We had a fire on our property back in July. It burnt our entire shed down and damaged quite a bit of our vinyl siding. It's been 6 weeks since we filed a claim through Bear River... And they've hardly done anything. My husband calls Bear River every single week to get updates and they never answer the phone. He'll leave a message and they might return his phone call 4 days later, but with no updates. We've been completely left in the dark. They haven't filled us in on anything. We have no timeline, no updates, nothing. This entire process has been infuriating. Such a headache. It should not take two months to file some paper work and to make a few calls. We're ready to switch to another insurance company ASAP.

The account holder canceled the insurance policy on me. Ex spouse, this company sent me no notice, and we’re not helpful when I called. They didn’t even want to tell me when the policy was canceled. I WAS LISTED ON THE POLICY! They wouldn’t even give me my own policy! And I have a clean driving record! Anyway, I got good rate somewhere else. Bear river needs to work on there people skills.
