Jen MillardI'm not rating the practice, queues are long and most of the Drs fob you off. However there is one excellent Dr there, Dr Nyland who actually listens, and takes you seriously so you can get to the bottom of what is actually going on. I don't know where myself and my family would be without her!! She's resolved so many medical issues, with great knowledge and understanding when others have taken the easy road and left us hanging! Thank you Dr Nyland for all that you do, I wish there were more Drs like you! X
M CAbsolutely stupid system. I needed to talk to receptionist about booking a blood tests & also what the so called gp is doing with blood pressure readings (high). No option to speak to anyone. So I pushed any key number, to be told I was 18 in the call queue. I will be reporting this shoddy practise to PALS. I feel that they are neglecting my MH as well as other health elements.
Tara GodberI was asked to book a blood test/blood pressure for a repeat prescription. Tried to ring & was 12th in the queue, so gave up. Rang back next day, first in the queue answered promptly very polite & helpful young man. I was in for an appointment that day, one person waiting for the nurse before me - very efficient! Pleased with my experience!
Michelle OliverNew to the surgery, I did an econsult this morning and a paramedic rang me back a couple hours later, listened to my concerns and prescribed me the medication. She sent it to my nominated pharmacist and said it would be ready for collection this afternoon! So far so good! It was the pharmacies in Plympton that did not stock the medication prescribed, so I had to drive around Plymouth and eventually struck gold at Hyde Park Pharmacy! But excellent speedy service so far at Beacon!
