I had the pleasure of completing the For The Dogs 6-week puppy training with my dog, Winnie. I consider myself, and Winnie, forever better for the work that we did with Andrea. This training included video homework and in-person sessions, both of which supported the real-world progress that we made in our time together. It was so helpful to have frequent sessions to monitor our progress, and know what we had to work on each day! Winnie is a very special girl, with very special needs. Andrea's holistic approach to training considered all of these needs and provided me with proper training to address these needs as they changed throughout her life. I can't say enough great things about Andrea of @forthedogstraining! We were fortunate to find Andrea and For The Dogs Training when we did. Perhaps like you, we had fallen for a dog who had big feelings and energetic needs we didn't know how to meet. Not knowing better, we went to other trainers who instructed us to use aversive methods to get the results we desired. We realized pretty quickly this wasn't going to work for us, and it definitely wasn't going to work for our sweet boy. In training with Andrea, we have learned that we are all on the same side and that training can be fun. Not only that, but it has been so effective at helping us an our guy navigate this world and its stressors together. It also helps us tucker him out on the days were he is needing more activity in between his walks. If it is offered again, I highly recommend Andrea's "Relax on a mat."
