It's a great shop for interesting clothing, leather goods and books. And enjoy their wine bar and patio, which is situated picturesquely by the Annapolis River. Wine or beer with a wonderful selection of charcuterie boards is on offer. A great outing.

I am very fond of Bainton's! Over time I have bought everything from mocassins to underwear to Tilley Endurable hats from the store--in addition to the books which I was mainly going there to find. I find the staff welcoming, easy-going, and knowledgeable, especially the cash-register cat. For those visiting the area, there is not only a good selection of books by local authors and about the region, there are also some pleasant chairs out front so you can sit with your purchase and alternate between reading it and watching the flow of foot traffic.
