I was referred to Mark Hagler by GAL Anna Bush and Judge Loza, which gave me the impression this would be a professional and neutral environment. Unfortunately, that was far from the case. Within minutes of the session starting, Mark labeled me as “angry and hostile” simply for explaining my situation. That kind of characterization is not only inappropriate, but in my opinion, intentionally dismissive and biased. Ironically, labeling someone like that is hostile in itself and speaks volumes about the dynamic he creates. He spoke highly of Dr. Finn as being well-respected in the therapy community—but frankly, this all felt like a closed-loop system that does not prioritize fairness or actual support. If you’re seeking someone who takes insurance or offers a balanced, respectful approach, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. The fact that this referral came from both a GAL and a judge raises serious concerns. This feels more like a racket than a true therapeutic experience.

Dr David Finn was assigned by the court to complete an evaluation on my custody case. Dr Finn was well organized, very observant and professional from day 1. Completing his first evaluation, it was not in my favor. This is where other professionals would exit. However, Dr Finn agreed to do a follow-up evaluation, taking a more comprehensive look at the case, He gathered more information, engaged peers, reviewed an even broader scope of contacts, revisited the original data he collected, and revised his findings based on the additional data received. The positive impact he had on the case and my child's welfare was excellent. I respect Dr Finn and appreciate his commitment to doing what was best for the child's welfare.

After reading every other review I almost did not want to waste my time doing another one but nah!.. This office is an absolute joke. David Finn was appointed to my reunification case at the beginning of the Summer. David promised to put me back with my son but after spending the next few months doing evaluations, he passed the case onto his partner with no warning. The only thing he told me was that his schedule was not very busy and felt it would be better to pass it off to his partner Mark Hagler. This "professional" never formally introduced himself or his purpose. His first words were "whats up?" After giving Mr. Hagler my honesty he got very aggressive and loud. He then told me that he was not my enemy... When I responded with "sir you are not my friend" he asked me to leave his office. I would not recommend this office to anyone. Time to close the door boys!

If getting divorced pray you do NOT have Dr. Finn assigned as your 604b evaluator unless you are a woman. Our experience with Dr. Finn was he took things out of context, assigns discovery to people who do not know what they are doing and not competent to find a police report, he even made assumptions about individuals without ever talking to them in his final report. Dr. Finn uses 3rd party observations when it suits his findings as well as speculates on what he "feels" the person might do in the future essentially setting the individual up with a preemptive strike. Dr. Finn is happy to tell you all about how much he charges as well as the schools his children attends. In order to post a star had to be selected therefore, we selected 1 star - beware.
