Customer experiences
Our family had a dental emergency back in February, we were delighted that Apen could get us in quickly and how hard they worked to get the care plan in our budget. They were very thorough in their explanations and we left happy. However, it has been NOTHING but a nightmare since. The surgery day came and when we got there nobody knew there was a surgery scheduled, even though we had the paperwork. They forced a cleaning and rescheduled for a few hours later. They have changed numerous appointments times and reasons, and don't even reach out to tell us. A pair of permanent dentures were supposed be a part of the care plan and were supposed to be made back in May. There's been at least 5 appointments shown up to expecting to be fitted, only to be told it's just a cleaning, or that they changed the appointment without a notification of any kind. It's very frustrating to keep paying for things that we weren't even aware were going to happen, and even more frustrating that things that were explained as a part of the original care plan, paid for with the original care plan, are coming to us as bills. Not to mention, the time taken off of work to accommodate all of the appointments. The staff seem to have little to no communication. The dental staff, the financing staff, and the front desk staff all giving different answers to the same questions. They communicate together about as well as they communicate with their patients, not well at all. I would NOT suggest going here unless you absolutely have to. We are going to file a formal complaint with the Illinois Dental Board and take the paperwork that was asked for twice before recieving it to a different dental office.
I’d like to share my experience at the South County MO Aspen location. I had oral implant surgery and unfortunately had a mishap with my lower denture. So a couple weeks after surgery is when this mishap happened and denture broke in half. I contacted Aspen and explained my situation to the receptionist, must add she was very comforting and asked me to hold on while she elaborates this to my dentist. Receptionist came back and stated to go ahead and bring in and dentist will take a look. And so I went in and was called back to the examining room and met with my dentist. She was very understanding and comforting, took the denture to the lab technician and within a few short minutes she returned. Good news - lab technician said they can fix no problem. Went in at the end of the day to pick up and you couldn’t even tell they were broke. I have to share this positive experience I had with Aspen and my dental team and thumbs up to my dentist and lab tech. Thank you Aspen and to my entire dental team at this location. SK
This was my first experience with Aspen- was very impressed with Hannah & 3 others who met with me about my ex-rays. All people were very professional & I am looking forward to being fitted for a new partial I had avoided for too long! My teeth cleaning occurred the next day with Erin. She was very professional as well as being enjoyable to be with. So far after being with Aspen for 2 days I would recommend their services.
I was very happy with the services I have received at the Bloomington IL office. Everyone has been very helpful and supportive. Very thankful for each and everyone involved in my dental care journey
