I recently stayed at Ascott Gurney Penang, and I must say it was an absolutely perfect experience. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The accommodation was flawless, offering a super relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and designed with a modern yet cozy touch. The amenities provided ensured that every aspect of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The food was exceptional! Every meal was a treat to the senses, with a variety of dishes that catered to diverse palates. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the flavors were consistently delicious, and you could tell the chefs put great care into every dish. What truly made the stay memorable was the staff. Every single team member was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional. They went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met and that I felt warmly welcomed throughout my stay. In summary, Ascott Gurney Penang is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch service and delicious food. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to return for another stay!

A wonderful refurbished hotel in Gurney Walk. Very central to go to the shopping malls or visiting Georgetown.|The check in by the efficient smiling reception staff is a great welcome to one’s stay at the hotel.|The bedrooms are wonderful, very big and extremely clean, the housekeeping do a great job in maintaining the standard. I had a lovely view of the sea. |The buffet breakfast at Timur level 1 has a variety of things and the staff will always try and get whatever else you ask for if they can. Each morning I am brought the fruit I liked to my table.|The two swimming pools, gym and children’s play area are on level 7. The adult pool is an infinity pool and a nice place to sit and enjoy the view of the sea and chill out. The gym has all the equipment needed and maintained well by the team and use of a yoga studio next door. |The glass bar open in the afternoon and evenings serves drinks and also food. A nice place to watch the sunset in the evenings. The bar staff are very welcoming. There is also a bar in the reception area on the ground floor.|This is a really nice hotel for your stay in Penang, the staff are professional and welcoming and I would really recommend it , you won’t be disappointed.

Room and room size is decent especially the large panel window glass overlooking the bay on Gurney Drive. It's a spectacular view if you request a higher level. Continental Breakfast is great, although there are limited choices but the salad is absolutely fresh. Check-in front desk personnel Fee has serious facial expressions. In Hospitality business, it posts a bad impression for any guests.

We recently stayed at the Ascott Hotel during our honeymoon, and we cannot recommend it enough! Our trip to Penang Island started off on the wrong foot, as we initially stayed at another hotel, which turned out to be a huge disappointment. Thankfully, we decided to switch to Ascott, and it was the best decision we made. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the experience. To our surprise, the hotel upgraded our room at a member price, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Joe Yi, from the front desk team, deserves special recognition for her outstanding hospitality. She was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and celebrated. She even sent us a cake to congratulate us on our honeymoon! Her dazzling nails still stand out in my memory—it’s the little things that make a difference. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Even before the upgrade, our initial room was very roomy and well-appointed. The highlight for me was the high-quality toiletries provided—they even included lip balm, which is a rarity in most hotels. This kind of attention to detail really sets Ascot apart. And let’s talk about the view—it was absolutely stunning! The sea view from our upgraded room was a dream come true. Waking up to the vast expanse of the ocean every morning was nothing short of magical. Even the view from our first room was lovely, but the upgrade took it to a whole new level. The hotel facilities are exceptional. The pool area is gorgeous and perfect for relaxing, and the overall ambiance of the hotel is a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Housekeeping was top-notch, keeping our room spotless and well-stocked at all times. Every interaction with the staff was a pleasure—they always greeted us with smiles and genuine warmth. Overall, Ascott completely transformed our honeymoon experience from a rough start to something truly unforgettable. It’s rare to find a hotel that gets every detail right, but Ascott exceeded all our expectations. If you’re visiting Penang Island, this hotel is an absolute must.
