I have been extremely disappointed in the unsatisfactory customer service and roofing job completed by Armour Roofing. I bought a home in September 2024 and the seller’s state that they had a brand new roof put in place June 2024 after a hailstorm in the Mid-Cities area. That includes new shingles and new flashing. Some rain came through mid-November and I noticed that new potential leaks/water damage in my living room, dining room and office ceilings. When I gave Armour Roofing a call I spoke to Phillip, the Project Manager for the work done on my home. Prior to anyone taking a look at the roof, Phillip began to make excuses as to why leaks were happening in the first place. He stated that there were “heavy winds” associated with the rain. When I googled how strong the winds were that particular day it was at max 15 mph; winds begin to do damage on asphalt shingles at 60-90 mph. I have attached several photos of my “new” roof. You can clearly see that flashing was not changed - but instead sprayed over with black spray paint. You can also see some putty was put in to close a gap and spray painted over in black as a quick fix around the chimney. A piece of black tape was also slapped on some flashing to hold it in place. Phillip was rude and would not let me get a word in when we spoke on the phone. He went on and on about how the lifetime warranty was guaranteed to the original homeowners but it did not transfer to me, the new homeowner. Phillip stated “in the DFW area roofs need to be replaced every 5-7 years” and that I “need to be realistic” and “realize roofs don’t last for 20-25 years.” Phillip stated he would come out to inspect the home the weekend following my call (I called him 11/18/2024, a Monday). The weekend came and went and he was radio silent. He also stated he would/ send the roof inspection report, but as of today I have yet to receive it. I have attempted to contact Phillip over the past few weeks and have been ignored. What Phillip did send me was the insurance claim sent by Armour Roofing to Farmers insurance on 11/18. In that claim a lot of work was reflected, but not necessarily done. I asked a trusted roofer, the owner of a different roof company, to inspect my roof instead. He reported several issues including the chimney flashing hadn’t been replaced and a power vent was installed, but not connected to an outlet. He stated that the power vent was not needed as there are multiple ridge vents throughout the roof. The “underlayment was not installed properly in certain areas of the roof and the roofers caulked shingles to the siding.” It was also found that the areas in my home where I found leaks/water damage were consistent with areas that had improperly installed flashing/shingles and poor nail placing on the ridge vents. The photos attached with comments and indicators are from the trusted roofer’s report. I would be cautious in reading the 5 star reviews on here; most of them tell of homeowners not having their insurance company taking care of items that should be covered in their plans, but Phillip can get around that issue no problem? It sounds a little too good to be true for me.

Phil has worked on not only my roof(and helped through the whole tedious insurance process) but on many of my clients roofs and done a spectacular job. He will be upfront and honest throughout the whole process and will help in any and all departments necessary to get you the best roof! Stop shopping for roofers and call Phil NOW!

After a major hail storm back in March, roofers came to our door in droves. All seemed to want me to just sign an agreement and put a sign on my front lawn. But Not Armour Roofing. They came by my house later in the day, after the parade of roofers rang my doorbell. Jesus and Philip were both very professional and polite, and in no way seemed like they were trying to get one over on me. When i said that we were going to wait until after storm season, they just checked in every once in a while and kept in contact. When we finally had the work done, the process was easy. Philip stopped by, inspected the roof again, went over what needed to be fixed and what our insurance had suggested. A week later, the work was started and completed in a day. The crew was very polite, cleaned up after themselves, left almost no trace. I had forgotten to move a couple of potted plants, and they did that as well without instruction. Little things like that show that they take pride in what they do. I hope to not need another roof for many years, but if so, I'd call Jesus, and Philip at Armour again.

Phillip did me right. Was turned down by the insurance adjuster then contacted Phillip and he got the job done. It was completed in a day and the whole process was seamless. They took care of insurance side of it also. I would use them for all my roofing needs from now on!
