Arden Companies - Fort Wayne

Arden is a great place to work. Management is very thoughtful and helpful. Plant Manager and HR manager are the best in the business. Any issues or needs are resolved in a timely manner, plus they are very genuine and truly care about their associates.

Ive been with the company for almost 4 months. I work in warehouse 2 as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk. And it has it perks one is the hours 7:00/1300 - 3:30/1530 Mon-Fri. Works great for me may not be great for others. The work in general is not hard at all the hardest part is just wanting to have people come into work. My general day starts out with a morning team meeting letting us know whats going on for that day. From there im off to fulfill customers orders by picking then packing them.It does get physical like unloading/loading trailers ,stock/put away product too. It's not back breaking physical work - if it was I wouldn't still be there! That's just what I do out on the floor. After that I usually head back to the office to check my emails, print labels or start the bill of lading process for the drivers. Oh and I learned to drive a forklift & Spanish! Now this wasn't all peaches n cream at first for me. I had a supervisor who never should of have been made a supervisor in the first place That didn't know how to talk to his employees to the point he was belittling them. The icing on the cake for me was when He started to belittle me over some labels that the bar codes were not scanning - which was no fault of my own thats a system/program issue. And at the end of the incident a higher up happen to have walked in and his tone of voice changes . The higher up was like its a company wide issue. Once that was said I had to take a walk(knowing it was no fault of my own). He never once said hey im sorry no instead he wanted to treat me like I was 10yr old. If he hadn't of quit I was going to take it to HR or put in my two weeks. Now since he has left the atmosphere is way different. Things are ran like a well oiled machine. And I'm being probably trained and not just thrown out to wolves. If you have no experience in the warehouse industry and would like some this is place! You would be working with a some pretty amazing people that I call my work family!

Drop and hook. Easy in and out. There are two buildings they own. If you picking up loaded trailer you will go to east side arden building, Building that says fort Wayne finds. which is on the corner of airport dr and w Ferguson rd. Entrance is on the left as soon as you make left turn on Ferguson rd if you are coming from airport dr.
