My wife and I were trying to figure out how to renew our mortgage just a few months after the rates went up as the bank did not give us a lot of options. They basically gave us 3 or 5 years and an open mortgage choice with very high rates.At that time my wife was retired and I was between jobs so we could not affort those rates. Anna came along while I was in a neighborhood chat channel and asked me to give her a call because she was a mortgage specialist and she could help. At the time I though she just was another salesperson because I never heard of a mortgage specialist outside the bank. To make the story short, she gave us a lot of choices on a new mortgage plus a better rate than the bank was offering. She also told us about reverse mortgages by Home Equity Bank as an option until I started working again and would feel comfortable with a standard mortgage payment. We were reluctant at first but Anna met with us and explained everything about a reverse mortgage.We decided to go ahead and Anna walked us through every step. The process of the reverse mortgage took about 3 weeks and it was smooth and painless the documents were signed online and the consult with the lawyer was also online. You need to consult with a lawyer to explain the reverse mortgage and to make sure that what you are signing matches what Anna told us.All was exactly as Anna explained, we signed and the money was in my account within days. I can tell you that when I dealt with the bank it was impersonal and a pain. With Anna it was a great experience I will never deal with a bank again for mortgages. I did not have to pay Anna anything because she was paid by Home Equity Bank Anna is a very nice person and a great profesional, I recomend her services to anyone out there. Walter G.
