After 6 years of going to this dentist it has been a good experience. Not today. Today my appointment was supposed to be for 6 pm, I got called to confirm the appointment 1 day prior and agreed to the time. 5 pm rolls around only to be called ignorantly to ask “where are you it’s 5:05 pm”. I told them that my appointment was for 6 and they told me they close at 6 even though I had booked a late appointment due to my work schedule as well as it says they close at 7. I was told to stay on the line and they will see if that’s ok with Dr. Buxton. I proceeded to rush to the dental office only to have a conversation about how my appointment was at 5 pm and not 6. I arrived at 5:15 pm and after the conversation I asked if I would be taken in to get my teeth cleaned and the receptionist exact reply was “absolutely not”. Extremely unprofessional staff. Where are the old receptionists they were great and welcoming not to mention respectful. If you’re looking for a good dentist this is not like it used to be. Time to move on.

Dr Buxton is fantastic and I would highly recommend her. My family and I have been seeing her for at least 10 years now and she is always great with us. My son has always seen her since he was first able to go and she was always very patient with him as most kids don't like to go at younger ages.

I wanted to reach out and give an excellent review for the folks at Amherstburg Dental. I brought my 10 year old son Vincent in today to have two problem teeth extracted. To say he was a little nervous would be an understatement. My son went from having a frown of fear to a smile of relaxation upon conclusion of the procedure. The care and attention he was given was absolutely fantastic. Second to none. The wonderful ladies at the front desk are so pleasant and informative, not to mention one lovely lady is a great sprinter as she ran out to the end of the parking lot to bring me my phone I so absent mindedly left behind. Both women at the front desk today (11am Aug. 21st) were just superb. So very pleased to have brought my family from the Harrow Dentist office to Amherstburg Dental. Nobody enjoys going to the dentist, but you'd have a hard time trying to find a better place to care for your teeth. Keep up the good work! Regards, Joe Chisholm

We started going to Dr. V when we lived in Amherstburg over 10 years ago. We have since moved to Windsor and continue to travel to Amherstburg for dental visits because their service simply can’t be matched. I tried a dentist in the city once to save time and they couldn’t come close in comparison! I now have a 4 year old son with sensory and speech delay issues and their attention and care with him is truly on another level. Truly the best dentist office you will find!
