Hotshot Drivers Beware of this Broker In March I was supposed to move two machines from Texas to Missouri for this broker. This brokerage listed the weight at 16,000 lbs with a note that stated “Weights and dimensions could be approximate. All-Ways Trucking is not responsible for over-loaded trailers.” Upon arriving at the pickup I inquired about the weight of what I was supposed to pickup. The shipper showed me paperwork indicating more than just two machines to be shipped with a known weight of 19,000 lbs plus an additional two items weighing approximately 800 lbs each for a total shipping weight of roughly 20,600 lbs. When this was pointed out to this broker their response was to just get the two machines and leave the rest for another load. The broker listed the weight of these two machines at 8,000 lbs each. After waiting several hours to be taken to the loading area and being able to visually inspect the machines, a Google search indicated that each of these machines weighed 8,800 lbs, a total weight of 17,600 lbs. This is more weight than I can legally put on my trailer. All-Ways trucking refused to pay a truck order not used or compensate me for the roughly three hours that I spent sitting around waiting to even see the two machines they wanted shipped. Use caution if you decide to use this broker. In this example they did not honestly represent what they needed shipped. The most important thing a broker should be doing is providing accurate information to carriers. In my case they did not do that and they refused to compensate my time for their mistake.
