Customer experiences
Duncan with Alberta Blue Sky Tours was fun, informative, a safe driver and the best at answering EVERY question we had about Canada! He took us to so many perfect sights and never made us feel rushed, yet we arrived at our destinations on time!! Our shuttle was roomy and clean and he always had water for us and suggestions on where to stop, what to look for, and where to eat. I would recommend him to anyone using Canada Rail Vacations and Alberta Blue Sky Tours!
We booked our trip through Canada Rail Vacations and were delighted and ultimately impressed with their van tour guides. Both Duncan and Delano were well versed in the area’s animals and plants and history. Their different styles implemented each other. Duncan has been guiding in the area’s animals for quite some time. He has a wealth of knowledge as does Delano. What was impressive about Delano is when I asked a question he didn’t know the answer to, he took the evening and the the answer and provided it the next day. We would recommend Alberta Blue Sky and upon our return to Baniff we would use Duncan or Delano for more extensive tours or get them to take us on hiking trails in the area….A great company with great tour guides.
Delano was our tour guide for 2 separate tours in and around Banff. He was extremely knowledgeable and a fun guide on each tour. He made sure we were all safe on his van. The van was brand new and very clean. His recommendations for places to eat in town and things to do were excellent. His stories of the area were entertaining. I would highly recommend having Delano as a tour guide again.
Our tour, the Full-Day Mountain Lakes and Waterfalls Tour was more than we could have hoped for. Seeing the magnificent waterfalls, lakes and the towering peaks of the surrounding mountains was eye opening. What made it all the more special was that it was a small group of us in a comfortable Sprinter van. No huge bus with lots of folks to get on and off at each of the stops. Our guide/driver Duncan Rodway turned out to be a fount of knowledge about the local flora and fauna. Although we didn't see any bears, Duncan clued us in to the two native species of bears that inhabit the area. Learned about the plants and berries that bears like. Hiking the trails to see those water features were easy for a senior citizen such as myself. Never felt rushed to get to the next location. The color of the water in the lakes is other worldly. You must see it in person to believe it. I would definitely go on another tour from Alberta Blue Sky Tours. You won't be disappointed.
