I will start by saying location, location, location! This hotel is situated one building away from the parliament building. You can walk everywhere! This was very important to us as we know there is very little parking in Victoria.||The property is well maintained with LOTS of parking. When we walked into the lobby, we quickly realized we entered a time capsule from the early 1990’s. It reminds me of my grandmas house. The front desk staff were very friendly.||The ceilings were extremely low and hallways were narrow. Our room was on the second floor. We opened the hotel door….another vivid flashback to the 1990’s. Carpet everywhere! Pink toilet and sink, heat lamp in the shower! Flashbacks! The room was very clean so we overlooked the decor.||The bed was comfortable, but pillows definitely needed replacing. Lamps were vintage and no plug ins. There was one plug in behind the dresser with an adapter to plug in multiple items. Living room/dining room were comfortable and a small kitchen, which was great!||It was warm during our trip and no air conditioning! 🥵 we opened the window, which helped a little. However, they removed the screens for cleaning, so that was no longer an option 😢. The walls and floors have very little soundproofing. We had kids jumping off the couch for several nights above us….annoying!||The have a surprisingly good cafe. Plenty of amenities (indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, gym and games room).||Overall, we were happy with our stay.

Great location, rooms are very comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen, King size bed, and a good size living room. There is no air conditioning, but they do provide a couple of fans. You can open up the windows, and at night it becomes comfortable. Lots of amenities with an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, game room, billiard, and shuffle board room. It also has a laundry room with multiple machines. The connected restaurant has great prices and good food.

Comfy. Smart TV might have been nice. We enjoy a little old timey when it takes you back in time, and this place did. Located on a lively street. Place always smelled good. Could use updates, but had all the basics we needed including a fridge and coffee.

I love this place. I love the rooms. I love the staff. I love the location. I have stayed here many many times over the last 20 years. I will stay nowhere else in Victoria (ya- I have stayed other places- the Royal Scot feels like home.)|Not putting on the fancy pants. Big shout out to the always lovely staff. Big shout out to the folks cleaning and maintaining the rooms you fsls/guys are awesome!
