Customer experiences
I left this place feeling judged and honestly looked at like I was a drug addict because of the extensive work I needed. I was too afraid to even ask for anything stronger than the ibuprofen they prescribed after 2 emergency extractions of molars that took over an hour to get out. For weeks I was in the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. My stitches even broke on one of my gums but I refused to be looked at like a common junkie by the dentist and hygienist again so I gritted and bared it, and if it would have gotten too bad, I would’ve just went to the er. I already had about $10,000 worth of work done a few years ago that were still paying for on our credit card . Then I was told that I need about $20,000 worth of more extensive work done. Fair enough. I do have a lot more work that needs to be done to my teeth. But not at this place. If my dentist is digging into my gums for over an hour and cutting into nerve that I’m telling him that I absolutely feel and after stitching me up they completely dismiss my pain levels, why the heck would I waste another dime on you when you just showed me how little you care for your patients? Maybe I’m a little “sensitive” because my mother in law died in the hospital because they were misdiagnosing her as a “drug seeker” for weeks until they cared enough to look at the abdominal aortic aneurysm that was killing her was too late to treat. I honestly feel like women are often unheard and dismissed by their medical professionals and this place further cemented those feelings
Well I just walked out of Aberdeen Dental. I have been going there for about 3yrs never had an issue. I was there 2 wks ago for my 6mnth cleaning and they said I had a hairline crack in a tooth. I should get a crown. They told me it would be $225. I left $20 as a deposit. When I arrived today they said it was $502. I told her I was told $225. She printed out what I had signed and yes, it showed all these fees but I found where it said patient balance 225. She explained that's probably for the previous visit before ins. I said but that's what I was told. I was about to pay by credit card and decided not to. I told them I won't be back and will be leaving reviews. Honestly, even if I have to pay $500 somewhere else, at least I won't be lied to.
I have a bad gag reflex and the two staff members that worked on me were wonderful, very patient and caring. It took awhile to get my x-rays but they figured out a way, using the smaller children’s mouth piece. It made a big difference. Both of staff members were awesome, very nice and both had light touch during my x -rays and my teeth cleaning. I will definitely go back for check ups and cleanings. They are good people and it shows in their work!
I thought that the staff and doctor were awesome. I have a fear of the dentist and they all really did all that they could do calm my anxiety and make me feel comfortable. Meghan was great as my hygienist and the woman who's name started with an "O" i believe was also super nice, they all were. Unfortunately I was unable to have any work done because they do not really work with a patient financially. I will have to save up my pennies so that I can go back and have the work done and when I do it will be them that I go to. Rachael Rivera
