Customer experiences
We recently hired this basement waterproofing company after noticing moisture in my walls, and I am so glad I did. They treated my home like their own, explained every step of the house waterproofing process, and made sure everything was done with precision. Carl and crew from Canada Waterproofers worked neatly, finished on time, and the difference is unbelievable. Our basement is finally dry and fresh. If you are looking for a trustworthy team for waterproofing your house in Oakville, this is the company you can count on!
- Mixed Experience: Responsive, But Overpriced, Sloppy, careless, and Poor Customer Service We recently engaged Precision Plumbing and Drain Ltd. for some plumbing work. I requested a visit via email, clearly outlining the scope of work—mainly the installation of a single-hole kitchen faucet. The technician, Andrew, arrived within the scheduled time window. He informed me of a $50 visit fee, which I was not made aware of prior. He mentioned that this fee would be waived if we proceeded with the job immediately. He then quoted $329 + $47.77 HST for the faucet installation. Although the price seemed excessive for what I expected to be a straightforward task, I reluctantly agreed. The entire installation took less than 15 minutes. While I was unhappy with the cost, I was relieved the faucet was finally installed. Andrew informed me there was a one-year warranty on their workmanship. Unfortunately, within 2–3 days, the faucet became loose and wobbly. It seemed clear that the nut under the sink had not been properly tightened. I contacted the company again, and they sent Andrew back. This time, Andrew immediately blamed me, suggesting that I had somehow caused the issue by moving the faucet. I assured him that I had only used it normally. He managed to tighten it again, and the faucet became stable. However, he told me—in a rather arrogant manner—that if it became loose again, it would be due to a flawed design, and I should deal with Moen directly. He claimed to have installed "10,000 faucets" and insisted his work wasn't to blame. Frankly, his attitude and customer service were disappointing. A better approach would have been to acknowledge the possibility of an oversight during the first installation. In my past experience with this company, I’ve found them to be more expensive than average, but usually responsive and professional. Vanessa, their Service Operations Manager, has always been courteous and helpful. Suggestions for Future Customers: • Clarify the visit/assessment fee before booking. • Request detailed pricing upfront, especially for simple jobs. • Be aware that responsiveness doesn’t necessarily equal good value. • Technicians should be trained in basic customer service—arrogance has no place in professional home services.
I chose this company based on their good reviews but was very disappointed. The technician couldn’t identify the cause of my shower leak, yet still charged $50 for a service call. He suggested opening the ceiling for another $250—without any certainty it would resolve the problem. I would then have had to find another contractor to repair the hole. I called a different plumber, who quickly diagnosed a faulty drain silicone and fixed it on the spot. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company.
Christine was awesome she took my info and dispatched someone within the hour. Vince was great he assessed the situation explained everything and was quick and professional. I highly recommend Precise Plumbing
